QUICK GUMBO RECIPE

THERE ARE TIMES WHEN I CRAVE GUMBO AND CAN’T GET OVER  IT.THIS IS NOT MY USUAL RECIPE.THAT TAKES HOURS TO MAKE.THIS WILL HOWEVER FEED THE CRAVING.IMG_20141107_200521I BEGIN WITH WHAT I HAVE ON HAND.I TRY TO GET A LOT OF FLAVOR IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF COOKING AND PREP TIME.I CUT VEGETABLES, SAUSAGE AND CHICKEN.IN A MEDIUM SIZED POT I PLACE THE WATER,CAN TOMATOE’S SAUSAGE,CHICKEN,ONION ,CELERY,PEPPERS,SEASONING’S AND CHICKEN BROTH.ALLOW TO COOK DOWN.I MAKE A ROUX WITH TOMATO PASTE,OIL,FLOUR AND WATER.I PLACE THE GRAB IN. I USED SNOW GRAB.SOMETHING I’VE NEVER DONE .BUT WAY NOT.BRING TO A ROLLING BOIL.ADD ROUX AND SHRIMP COOK ON HIGH 10 MIN. THEN ADD OKRA AND COOK ADDITION 5 MIN. DONE.IT WAS A GREAT THROW TOGETHER VERSION LOVES IT.IMG_20141107_233633SERVED OVER RICE WITH SALTINES
